چکیده

Spin interactions between two moving Dp-branes are analyzed using the GreenSchwarz formalism of boundary states. This approach turns out to be extremely efficient to compute all the spin effects related by supersymmetry to the leading v4/r7−p term. All these terms are shown to be scale invariant, supporting a matrix model description of supergravity interactions. By employing the LSZ reduction formula for matrix theory and the mentioned supersymmetric potential for D0-branes, we compute the t-pole of graviton-graviton and three formthree form scattering in matrix theory. The results are found to be in complete agreement with tree level supergravity in the corresponding kinematical regime and provide, moreover, an explicit map between these degrees of freedom in both theories.

NONDYNAMICAL ANALYSIS OF SPIN AMPLITUDES IN PION-PROTON ELASTIC SCATTERING IN OPTIMAL FORMALISM AT 6.0 GeV/C

Optimal conditions are used in nondynamical formalism to diagonalize the pionproton reaction matrix as much as possible. Invariance laws are imposed to simplify the relationship between observables and bilinear combination of amplitudes. Transverse amplitudes are determined by using measured polarization parameter in xfp elastic scattering at 6.0 GeVIC

M5-Brane and D-Brane Scattering Amplitudes

We present tree-level n-particle on-shell scattering amplitudes of various brane theories with 16 conserved supercharges. These include the world-volume theory of a probe D3-brane or D5-brane in 10D Minkowski spacetime as well as a probe M5-brane in 11D Minkowski spacetime, which describes self interactions of an abelian tensor supermultiplet with 6D (2, 0) supersymmetry. Twistor-string-like fo...

HELICITY AND PLANAR AMPLITUDES IN PION-PROTON SCATTERING AT 6.0 GeV/c

In addition to optimal conditions, invariant laws of Lorentz, parity and time reversal are imposed to find the relation between observables (spin rotation parameters) and bilinear combination of helicity amplitudes in pion-proton elastic scattering at 6.0 GeV/c. By normalizing the differential cross-section to unity, the magnitudes of helicity amplitudes and the angle between them are dete...

Quantum Hair on D-branes and Black Hole Information in String Theory

We introduce a notion of quantum hair which completely characterizes the state of a D-brane in perturbative string theory. The hair manifests itself as a phase (more generally a unitary matrix in subspaces of degenerate string eigenstates) in the scattering amplitudes of elementary strings on the D brane. As the separation of the D-brane and the string center of mass becomes large, the phase go...

Scattering of Strings from D-branes

We review a number of perturbative calculations describing the interactions of D-branes with massless elementary string states. The form factors for the scattering of closed strings off D-branes are closely related to the Veneziano amplitude. They show that, in interactions with strings, D-branes acquire many of their physical features: the effective size of D-branes is of order the string scal...
